Titans vs Jags Preview

After the terrible game against the Browns, the 8-4 Titans look to bounce back against a 1-11 Jacksonville Jaguars team. On paper, the Titans should come out victorious. But this is the NFL and every team is tough, and the Jags would love to hand the AFC South division rival and current leader, Titans, a fat late season L to really spoil things for the Titans.

Last week the Jaguars lost a close overtime game against the Minnesota Vikings. The Jags competed well against a Minnesota team that is better than their 6-6 record indicates.

This will be the second and final meeting between the two teams in 2020. In the first game, the Titans and Jags competed in a super close game that the Titans won by only three points. In that game QB Gardner Minshew was playing, which won't be the case in this game. In recent weeks the Jaguars have been opting to play veteran-journeyman backup quarterback Mike Glennon. Glennon has looked pretty solid in the two games he's played. Nothing mind-blowing, but he's looked ok.

The Titans need to be ready in this game, the last game was tight. Since the Jags are a division rival, both these teams match up well with each other.

The main thing in my opinion is the Titans defense, especially the secondary, needs to show up. Starting cornerback Adoree Jackson has returned to practice, but that doesn't mean anything. I thought the guy was gonna come back weeks ago, but he still appears to be injured. The injury has been really mysterious, and as a fan frustrating. The Titans' secondary has been pretty shaky all season. The defense as a whole really has been pretty rough for the most part. Not that bad since the team is 8-4, but that appears to be one of the team's bigger weaknesses. Starting cornerback Adoree Jackson hasn't played a game all season long. One of the team's better cornerbacks, Kareem Orr also returned to practice this week.

Henry and Tannehill need to show up once again. The offense as a whole have been fine this season. A.J. Brown and Corey Davis have been great. There's been some injuries and the receiving core isn't perfect but it's good.

The Titans sit as the number four seed in the AFC. Every game is massive coming up.

Let's go Titans, beat Wacksonville baby!!! #Titanup
