Well, it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. The Titans defeated the one win Jaguars in Jacksonville yesterday by a score of 31-10.
The game felt like it was in control by the Titans the entire game. I wasn't really stressed out a single moment during this game. Offense, defense, and special teams all played better than the Jags in every way.
Of course the Titans came into this game clearly the better team on paper, and like I mentioned this result shouldn't be a surprise. BUT I've watched enough football to know that any team in the league can beat any team on any given Sunday. You just never know in this sport. I mean the Titans lost to the BENGALS earlier this year. You can't take any team lightly.
As a Titans fan I am pretty proud the team came out and just got the job done. No messing around. I believe it's a sign of a good team when the better team on paper beats the lesser team on the field without even a hiccup. Mediocre, borderline teams choke during games like this. The Titans got it done against a divisional rival and move to 9-4.
Every W the Titans can gather at this point in the year, is HUGE. The Titans have a slim lead in the AFC South and they need to keep on winning.
Derrick Henry had his annual mauling of the Jags and ran for over 200 yards with apparent EASE. He just ran wild and it just looked like a nice regular day for him, he didn't even appear to work that hard. With performances like that one yesterday, I believe that I am so lucky to have this guy on my favorite team. He is truly great man. Of course the o-line played well as well.
Tannehill was efficient as ever and the defense was very good yesterday as well.
I would like to hopefully make a post talking about the Titans and other teams playoff positioning. Hopefully after work or something.
All in all it was a fantastic game. The Titans 9th win marks the Titans 5th straight winning season!
#Titanup on to the Lions, a tricky squad!
