What an amazing win, to beat the big rival. As a Titans fan, the Titans beating the Colts is just great. And to beat them and take over first place, is just even more amazing. I really dislike the Colts.
The game itself was an absolute beatdown, once again just another tremendous reason this game was tremendous. Seriously, this game was over by halftime. The second half was just a formality. I was seriously falling asleep in the second half, and that never happens. I almost felt bad the Titans had to continue playing, I didn't want to see a player get injured.
The score at halftime was 35-14 Titans, obviously.
The Titans' offense in the first half was unstoppable. I believe that the Titans only punted once in the first half. Derrick Henry went WILD in this game. The Colts were hopeless at stopping him. The man ran for over 130 yards by halftime and he finished with 178 rushing yards and scored three rushing touchdowns. It was a classic performance.
Receivers A.J. Brown and Corey Davis combined for a cool 168 yards together receiving. Their production lately has been really nice.
Ryan Tannehill has continued to show he's a top 10 QB in this league!
The defense really showed up that afternoon. I was nervous after the Colts first two drives were touchdowns, but after that the defense seemed to get itself together in a pretty big way. The Colts got to 26 points purely by garbage time bullcrap.
I had a feeling the last game against the Colts was kind of a fluke. The Titans had a missed field goal, a blocked punt returned for a touchdown, and a terrible 17 yard punt, all in the same game, I believe it was all in the second half as well.
This game the Titans absolutely proved they are the better team and more physical, and better coached team.
With five games left I believe that the Titans are in a great position to win the division even though they only have a one game lead. The Titans have a somewhat soft schedule, hopefully and I believe the Titans are going to finish with more than nine wins finally!
The Titans have a winnable game against the Browns in Nashville this Sunday. I have a feeling the Titans might smoke them. But the Browns can run the ball and if those backs in Chubb and Hunt get in a rhythm, the game could get tricky. The Browns are also pretty physical. I may regret these words, but I like the Titans coaching and focus recently, and I just believe in the Titans every week of course.
I can't wait to watch some more Titans victories. Gotta embrace the moment and it's great to know my Titans are a really good team. Hopefully this post season the Titans can prove to be GREAT.
