If you're actually passionate about something, or you just think something is fun, it's good to just do it and keep producing.
I didn't really have a plan when I began writing posts about sports cards, but as I write about the cards and obviously the players, I find it to be really fun and satisfying.
When I write about cards I not only write about and promote the hobby of sports cards collecting, I also get to highlight some players careers that are forgotten to a lot of people! Perhaps even careers of players NOBODY has heard of.
I find it pretty fun. I've mentioned sentiments like this before, but still I find it rewarding.
This card I'm sharing today is a card of former NFL defensive end Travis LaBoy. He played in the league for seven years, from 2004-2011. He was a former second round draft pick of the Tennessee Titans. He played for the Titans for four seasons and then played three more seasons. After Tennessee he played for the Cardinals, the 49ers and then finally the Chargers.
As a Titans fan, I remember LaBoy as a solid and pretty productive depth guy for the Titans. He even started a fair amount of games. He was not a superstar by any means but I do remember him being pretty productive and being a decent average player. I also remember having fun playing with him in the Madden video games.
In LaBoy's seven year career LaBoy compiled:
- 29.5 sacks (about 4.2 sacks a season)
- 205 tackles
- 8 forced fumbles
- 5 fumble recoveries
- 1 interception
It's pretty good to own his rookie card!
