As expected, it was time for the Europa League. Spurs vs Ludogorets isn’t one of those matches to arouse so much anticipated and get people all hyped up, however, for the Spurs fans, this was an interesting fixture to watch. This was a very tricky fixture for Spurs because of their short resting time for the big game on Sunday where they face Chelsea at the bridge. So for Jose, this was one of those games that gave him problems on whether to field a strong team or rest the key players for the Chelsea game. He finally decided to rest players for the Chelsea game and at the end, his decision proved the correct one as the team he put out were too strong for Ludogorets that they limited Ludogorets to no shots in the game… I repeat, Ludogorets didn’t have any shots in the game which showed how much control Spurs had in the game. It was a total annihilation by Spurs to put themselves in the right mood and confidence for the upcoming game on Sunday.

I’m pretty sure no one expected any result other than a Spurs win. Yes people thought Spurs might not get that control because they would rest players, but Spurs winning was never in doubt especially at home. As expected, Spurs went into the game as the clear favorite to win the game and deservedly got the win. This was a very easy game for and a one way traffic for Spurs. Spurs had everything under control and didn’t look threatened in any parts of the game. We all know Jose Mourinho isn’t the greatest manager when it comes to possession football, but this was a game that everyone expected Jose to dominate the ball and create loads of attacking play.

Spurs kicked off their control of the match from the first minute of the match and were rewarded with an early goal. Carlos Vinicius was the player that scored the first goal for Spurs early in the game and was the second goal scorer as well, doubling Spurs lead before the end of the first half. Harry Winks added his name to the scoresheet with a very good goal. Lucas Moura got his goal as well to completely blow Ludogorets away. It was all cruise control for Spurs nullifying every plan Ludogorets came into the match with and were clearly the better team. This win puts Spurs on the same points with Antwerp which means that their next remaining games will be crucial for them on their quest to finish top of the group.
