We are back to yet another premier league matchday, we are on matchday 10 and so far, it has been an amazing journey. Coming up later today is the continuation of matchday 10 as Man United will be taking on Southampton away at the St Mary’s Stadium. Both teams have been I good form in their last 2 games, except for Southampton who loss a bit of momentum with their draw in their last premier league fixture. Man United will be looking to build on their 2 wins, to make it 3 wins in a row as they aim to move up the premier league table.
Southampton surprised a lot of people with their performances this season so far. After their incredible comeback result against Chelsea, they’ve looked like a totally different team winning a lot of their matches and currently not far off those at the top of the premier league table. Based on their form and how good they’ve performed so far this season, they will be going into this game against Man United full of confidence that they can upset Man United at home. At the moment, they are sitting 5th on the table with 17 points, so a win in this game would take them to 20 points which will be a great result for them especially at this stage of the season. From the way things are, Southampton have a very good chance of getting all 3 points in this game if they put in a very good performance.
Man United on the other hand are not doing badly at all so far, even though they are sitting 13th on the premier league table. They are in a good form at the moment and will be looking to build on their recent wins. They are the bigger team in this fixture, however, Southampton isn’t a team to be confident being the bigger team. They know how good Southampton are and for them, they know that they need to be at their best if they want to get a win in this game especially away from home. Man United haven’t had the best performances for the most part this season, but they have gotten good results in their recent matches, so for them, it is all about going to the St Mary’s Stadium and showing their superiority and getting the all-important 3 points.
For me, I think this game would end in a draw. I don’t see any of the two teams winning this game. Both teams know each other very well, and every time both teams clash, it is always a very difficult battle. Southampton have been in very good form and will be confident in this game. Man United have been doing fine and have all it takes to get the job done in this game. So I think this will be a tough clash as both teams are capable of winning this game and will make it difficult for each other. In my opinion, this game would end in a draw, let’s see what happens in the game later today.
