It was a much-anticipated fixture yesterday, RB Leipzig vs Man United was one of the top fixtures yesterdays that had a lot of eyeballs on it. It was a do or die affair for both teams as Man United needed not to lose to go through while RB Leipzig needed a win to secure qualification. As things stood at that moment, Man United were out and Leipzig were through to the next round. However, the champions league has been renowned to have that excitements and tension up to the last minute of the match. The first half ended 2-0 nil for Leipzig. The second half began and things began to get more and more interesting. Man United reduced the deficit on the 80th minute… many thought it was just a consolation, however, the dynamics of the game quickly changed when Man United scored the second goal just 2 minutes later. Man United kept on pushing and trying to get the third goal, but RB Leipzig managed to hold on to secure qualification. This was a remarkable achievement for Leipzig, last season saw them have a good run in the champions league, this season, they will be aiming to go even further in the competition as they continue to build and develop into becoming one of the best teams in Europe. For Man United, this loss means that they have now dropped into the Europa League and will continue their European campaign there. They will be looking to win it as it would mean that they will secure champions league football next season if they win it. Not going to be an easy task as there are other top teams in the competition who are capable of winning the Europa League as well.
