Coming up tomorrow is the ever exciting and much anticipated premier league fixtures. Man City who haven’t had the start to this season as they would have hoped for will be looking to bounce back from their loss in their last match and return to winning ways against Burnley at home. This is a tricky fixture for Man City considering that Burnely are beginning to pick up points. These past few weeks in the premier league hasn’t been good at all for Man City, so for them, this game is a tricky match. Nonetheless, Man City are expected to get the job done at home. This is the kind of matches that they need to start regaining their confidence.
Man City are clear favorites for this game without a doubt, even though things haven’t clicked yet for them in the premier league. They are expected to get all 3 points at home. Their aim going into every season is to win the premier league, however, with the way things are going and the way other teams are eyeing the premier league title, it will be quite difficult for Man City to win it this season as Liverpool are looking more likely to win it again this season. With this in mind, Man city will be looking to start getting the much needed wins and they will be looking to start that this Saturday against Burnley at home. 3 points at home will do them a whole lot of good as they build on the win in other to push for the title this season. They know that they have all it takes to win the title this season, so for them, it is a matter of getting themselves back on track with a win at home tomorrow.
Burnley on the other hand, have gotten the opposite result to that of Man City in their last premier league match, so they will be quite confident for this game. By confident, I don’t mean being ahead of themselves and start to think they can just go to the Etihad and win because they won their last match… but they know that they can give Man City a good challenge and with the form Man City are in at the moment, they know that they stand a chance of getting a result against them tomorrow if they put in a very good performance. They know they are ways to exploit Man City and hurt them, so for them, it will be all about trying to capitalize on different opportunities in the game to hurt Man City, either through counter attack or set pieces.
For me, i think this will be a very difficult game for Man City and if care is not taken, they could come out with a draw as Burnley are a very tough team to play against especially now there are no fans to really influence the home games. Man City needs to win if they are to starting staking their claim for title challenge this season, we know that there is still a long way to go and the result tomorrow doesnt really mean anything, but a draw or a loss would be a very disappointing and bad result for Man City and they could start losing their fear factor going forward till the end of the season. For that not to happen, they need to get the job at home.
