It was the continuation of the premier league matchday 11 as Liverpool locked horn against Wolves at home. This was a fixture that many tipped to be a tricky fixture for Liverpool as we all know what Wolves are capable of… they already made a name for themselves as the Big team nemesis so, this was one of those fixtures Liverpool were expected to drop points. However, Liverpool didnt look like a team that have few key players out due to injury. They totally demolished Wolves at home to reclaim back their spot on the premier league table.

This was a tricky fixture for Liverpool going into this game. Even though they were favorites to win the game, there was also a possibility of them losing points in this game as Wolves have proven time and time again that they know how to get points off the big teams. Liverpool were at risk dropping off the top 3 if they failed to get a win against Wolves at home as the likes of Chelsea who played on Saturday got the crucial 3 points and Spurs who played a bit earlier than Liverpool, got a massive 3 points against Arsenal at home to go back to the top of the premier league table, so for Liverpool, this was a must-win game for them if they were to reclaim back their spot on the table.

Even though Liverpool were expected to win at home, they weren’t expected to have a comfortable game as we all expected it to be a tight game for both teams and a narrow win for Liverpool. However, Liverpool cleared the doubters and pretty much got a comfortable win at home by brushing aside Wolves. This was a crucial win for Liverpool as they continue their form in the title race. The game began and from the get go, Liverpool showed that they wanted to win the game and no two ways about it. Mohamed Salah scored the first goal for Liverpool on the 24th minute. It was the goal that opened things up for Liverpool and from that point it was all Livrepool… Yes as always, Wolves had some chances in the game but nothing happened with those chances. Georginio Wijnaldum doubled the lead for Liverpool on the 58th minute. Joel Matip made it 3-0 for Liverpool on the 67th minute to pretty much put the game beyond the reach of Wolves. Nelson Semedo finally put a seal on the win in favor of Liverpool with an own goal. This was a pretty much comfortable win for Liverpool as they reclaim back their position on the table.
