The premier league is getting more interesting and tighter as each week passes. Looking at the table, you can clear see that it is quite difficult to predict how the table will look like come the end of the season as the teams are so close to each other at different sections of the table. As things stand at the moment, every 3 points is like gold right now… each win is crucial as a loss could send a team sitting in first place back down... for example, Chelsea who were sitting in third are now out of the top 4 because of their loss to Everton few days ago… that goes to show how crazy the premier league is as the moment.
Ever since Leicester won the premier league some years ago, they’ve gone on to place themselves as one of the top teams outside the regular known top 6 teams. Last season could have been their most successful season aside that unbelievable and unthinkable title winning season but somehow, they slipped up and finished outside the top 4. This season, things are looking very similar to how it was for them last season. They are back in the top 4, capitalizing on Chelsea’s loss away at Everton. They are just within reach with the top 2 teams, just 2 points short of Tottenham and Liverpool were are sitting in 1st and 2nd respectively.
With the way things are going in the premier league at the moment, we could see the premier league won with goal difference and the top 4 will differently be separated by just fine margins. Leicester are doing pretty well and if they continue with the way they are going, they will definitely be up there in the fight for top 4 finish. Their game against Brighton was one of those games they got a solid win against a Brighton side who are pretty much struggling at the moment. However, you can only win against the team in front of you. The game began and from the get go, you could clear see Leicester City gameplan and they looked like a team that is going for the 3 points. Brighton had their moments in the game, but wasn’t enough to do any damage in the game. James Maddison was the first goal scorer for Leicester City on the 27th minute. Jamie Vardy continues to show how good of a goal scorer he is, doubling the lead for Leicester City on the 41st minute. Maddison made it 3 for Leicester City and from that point, the game was pretty much won in the first half. That was how the game ended and Leicester City ran out 3-0 winners at home to move to third on the premier league table.
