Leicester City Lose all 3 Points Against Fulham at the King Power Stadium
It was the continuation of premier league matchday 10 as Leicester City locked horn against newly promoted Fulham at home for a chance to go 3rd on the premier league table, however, the failed to capitalize on that opportunity, losing 1-2 against Fulham at home. This was a must-win game for Leicester City to go back to winning ways especially after their loss in their last premier league match, but Fulham proved the stronger team to snatch all 3 points at the King Power Stadium, leaving Leicester City with back to back losses.
The game began and Leicester City were already in the game as the favorites to win, however, it isn’t always about who is favorite on paper but rather what happens on the pitch. Leicester City had a lot of the ball, but like they say, it is not by having a lot of the ball, it is by being clinical and taking your chances when they come. With all the possession Leicester City had, Fulham had the most shots on target and came out 2-1 winners. That is to show to that possession isn’t everything in football.
This season, the premier league has gotten even more difficult as teams are very close to each other at this stage of the season. The no fans thingy has really changed the way teams play whether home or away, like we saw in this game. Without fans on the stadiums, there’s nothing like home or away which levels the ground for both teams. Maybe if there were fans, Leicester might not have lost this game… who knows. At the moment, their loss means that they are still sitting on 4th, not a bad position to be at this stage of the season considering the position of other top teams like Man City.
So far, Leicester City are in a very good position regardless of whether they are having a difficult time at the moment. They are just 1 point behind 3rd. For them, all they need to do now is to bounce back quickly and return to winning ways… but we all know this is the premier league and it is not always easy to bounce back from a run of bad games because all the games coming up are going to be difficult especially now that the fixtures are really congested. This December will be an extremely difficult month for most of the teams due to the number of matches to play… this is where the squad depth will come in handy as it will be almost impossible to play the same players week in week out all through the busy month. With that said, Leicester City are doing just fine even though they are coming from a disappointing result, they will be hoping to bounce back as quickly as possible.
