The moment we all had been waiting for finally arrived as we had the opportunity yet again to witness the much-anticipated and ever-exciting premier league action. It is the start of a new season with a lot of excitements still to come. Arsenal kicked off the premier league season against newly promoted Fulham, a game that saw the Gunners breeze past Fulham to claim number 1 spot on the premier league table.
A pretty decent game for Arsenal who were clearly the better team. Willian who caused a lot of talking points when the reports broke out that he was set to join his fellow Brazillian and business partner Luiz at Arsenal, after rejecting a 2year contract extension at Chelsea as he was looking for a 3 year deal which Arsenal were ready and willing to offer him that.
After it was confirmed and made official that Willian was an Arsenal player, lots of talking points surfaced again whether he will be able to perform at Arsenal – well his performance earlier yesterday showed that he is more than capable of being one of the top players in this Arsenal team.
Against Fulham, we saw Willian get involved in 3 of Arsenal goals, bagging a hattrick of assist in his first game as a Gunner, a dream start for Willian as all eyes of the Chelsea fans will be on him to see how he performs throughout the season. As expected, talking points is currently flying around whether Chelsea made a big mistake to let Willian join Arsenal… For me, it is more of inbetween if you look at it at different angles.
Willian leaving Chelsea meant that Chelsea could sign younger and more exciting talents like Ziyech, Havertz etc. If Willian had stayed back, maybe Chelsea might not sign one of those players. On the other hand, Willian joining Arsenal will make Arsenal stronger and will add to the competition for the top 4 spots… Above all, I think Chelsea made the right decision, and with the signings they have made already, they will be a team to beat if they all click and gel together. Nonetheless, For me, I think Willian will add a lot of qualities to Arsenal.
He is very good when it comes to counter attacks and has a very good work-rate in him, so there is doubt that he will slot into Mikel Arteta’s plans easily. Even though he isn’t known for having great creative output during games, when played in his preferred position on the left, he has a very good ability to cut in a score and also is undisputed freekick qualities. Above all, Willian is a very good player that will add a lot of qualities and experience to Arsenal’s attack.

I dont think hey made a mistake, its part of football, footbsllers come and leave at one point or the other, clubs just have to make adequate replacement and i think Chelsea has done well in replacing Willian...

You are right... Signing Ziyech is a huge plus for Chelsea... Willian wanted to meet up with his partner Luiz... And for me, I think he will get more playing time at Arsenal and show himself as an experienced figure in this Arsenal team...
