Luka Jovic has been a player that was heavily talked about few seasons ago during his time at Frankfurt fo his goals for Frankfurt. His performances and goals drew a lot of attention from a lot of the top clubs in Europe and it was no surprise that Real Madrid came knocking and were able to secure his signatures quickly. After Jovic completed his move to Real Madrid, some interesting talking points flew around whether he the goalscoring machine for Real Madrid like he was for Frankfurt… Like I mentioned above, the young Serbian has caught the eyes of many including the top European clubs due to his goal scoring records and performances in the Bundesliga especially 2 seasons ago season. His most recent top-notch performances were in the Europa league, scoring both home and away against Chelsea in the semifinal round but were knocked out on penalty shootouts.

A lot of talking points have been going on till date whether Real Madrid can replace their all-time highest goal scorer in their history Cristiano Ronaldo, after letting him leave for Juventus. They have since felt his absence and their abysmal performances, most especially in the champions league was a clear proof that they really missed Ronaldo’s firepower. Their struggle both in the champions league and domestically has made them go in hard for someone who can bang in the goals. Based on what we have seen so far, Jovic looked like a very good acquisition for that atleast before he signed. However, things arent going as planned for the young Serbian who hasn’t featured enough for Real Madrid since he joined the club as Zidane has preferred Benzema to lead the line in attack.

We all know Luka Jovic is a fanstastic striker and what he can do on the pitch but he is yet to show that qualities yet for Real Madrid which has been heavily linked to lack of playing time… the talking point that has been popping up ever since the deal was completed is that – can he be Real Madrid’s missing lethal attacking weapon?

For me, I think so, even though his record at Frankfurt speaks volume, but it doesn’t mean he will replicate the same performance in Madrid due to so many factors… above all, I still believe he can and will score a lot of goals for Real Madrid since he will be playing with much more better players and will surely receive services from the world-class players around him. He is a really good striker and finisher of the ball like we have seen already, so there is no doubt that he can replicate that at Real Madrid where he will have better quality passes from worldclass players around him. My only concern is that whether he will be utilized like many expected. In my opinion, I still think his time will come and when it does come, he will show what he can do and knows how to do best. A lot of fans are really excited to see what he can offer in a Madrid shirt, lots of expectations are on him now to take his game to the next level.

Very good striker. He needs a club where he is the number 1 on the start11.
