Chelsea set to battle against Sevilla in the first Match of the UEFA Champions League group stage game at Stamford Bridge Stadium. This is the first ever encounter between two teams, though Chelseabhave played with other spanish team like Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona and Real Madrid but they haven't cross way with Sevilla, while Sevilla has also played with other English team like Manchester United, Wolverhampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal Leicester City and Liverpool.
Sevilla are a prominent team in Europe and they have won several Europa League, they are so tough to play with when it comes to European football competition. This will not be a easy game for Chelsea because Sevilla will make it hard on them. Sevilla was the last season Europa League winner after beating Inter Milan in the final stage, Chelsea was able to make it to the round 16 of Champions League last season but they were beaten 7-1 on aggregate by the Champions League winner Bayern Munich.
Lampard failed in getting to a reasonable stage due to lack of players because Chelsea was placed on transfer ban but this season Chelsea has made a lot of Transfer in the market signing a lot of players like Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Eduardo Mendy and many more in order to reinforce the team. All the new signing has been doing well but Lampard seems to be having issue with the right selection that fit the team.
Timo Werner look promising as a striker with his performance since the beginning of the season, he scored his premier league first goal in the encounter against Southampton and those goals are superb, he is a kind of striker defender need to be careful with because he always scares the defense. Hakim Ziyech also make his debut from the bench over the weekend due to injury he sustained in a pre season game against Brighton.
Chelsea was able to work on the attacking this season and we should be expecting a lot of attacking game. It will never be easy for Chelsea but I am so sure it's a win for the blues as Lampard should be more determined than sevilla in the game.
Final result 0 to 0. No difference was made. Good results for the Spanish @cabinet24.
Yeah! The match was never easy, i think Chelsea will do better in the next UCL game @testarasta.
