My favourite game at school is this game my sports teacher created called 'Toss the human'. It's a game that builds teamwork. And it is very competitive with students, as they want to see how far they can go.
What is toss the human?
It is a pretty simple game but it tests everyone's mental and physical strength as a team. The game aims to strengthen teamwork by communicating with each other by trying to toss your teammate over a goalpost. You have to get the person over the goalpost and back down without them touching the floor then run as a team without the person falling from your arms to the starting line.
You also have to rotate the person that you are tossing. It is normal for it to be girls vs boys. The team who has tossed the person the most wins. But if the person touches the floor you have to restart and that toss doesn't count. I forgot to mention that you only get 15 minutes for a game, in that time you need to toss the human as my times as you can before the timer runs out.
How can someone get injured?
Someone can get injured by falling off the top of the goal post if everyone is not paying attention. When running with the person you could accidentally drop them. At any given moment something could go amiss that's why when playing this game you always have to be aware of everything.
My personal experience with this game
When I had first played the game I thought that it was dangerous and wondered how the PE teacher was able to get permission for this type of game. But when I played it all my thoughts just went away. I felt exhilarated and focused, it was fun with my teammate all so determined to win. When you only have a few minutes left that's when the adrenaline kicks in, you go into full beast mode.
You are faster as if everyone is drunk on adrenaline, we all manage to get more and more points. However as soon as the timer goes off the exhaustion hits like a truck, but it is that sense of satisfaction that you worked as a team and was able to get so many points you feel the enjoyment. Soon everyone celebrates.
It doesn't matter if you win or lose it was the experience that is always the funniest, it leaves a smile on everyone's face. Whether you like sports or not this is an enjoyable game for students!
