Chocolate cake recipe
Flour -2½ cups
Sugar -2 cups
G.nut oil - 1 cup
Buttermilk -1cup
Salt -1tsp
Baking powder- 1tsp
Baking soda -½ tsp
Coco powder ½cup
Chocolate & vanilla Flavor - ½ tsp each(all together makes 1 tsp)
Egg -2
Hot water - 1 cup
Dark coffee (unsweetened) - 1 tsp
NB: To make your buttermilk, you will add 1 tbsp of white vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of milk, this will give you your buttermilk)
Procedure
Sieve your flour,coco powder in a sizeable bowl
Add baking powder, baking soda and salt, use your hand whisk to mix everything together very well and set aside
Now add your oil, eggs, buttermilk and sugar in another sizeable bowl, mix everything together very well, start adding the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients gradually and be mixing with your whisk till your exhaust all the dry ingredients,
Add your 1tsp of coffee into your cup, add 1 cup of boiling water to the coffee, stir together and then pour it into your batter ( flour and wet ingredients mixture) mix everything together very well, add your flavors.
pour into your already lined pan, if your have some chocolate chips or chocolate bar available cut the chocolate bar into chunks and add to the batter, push the cake batter into your already preheated oven, bake for 40 mins or until skewer comes out clean when inserted into the cake.
