The Audi Q4 E-tron was launched this year with vehicles reaching customers in the early months of 2021, priced in over a million rand I am yet to see one grace South Africa.
This car is one of the smallest electric cars built by the brand. When it comes to speed you can't expect too much from an electric car.
The electric concept is still new to me and personally I am not even sure how I feel about it but I do know that it is the future and that this is inevitable.
The E-Tron can travel 450 Km before it would require a recharge, for me that is a concern for someone whose home town is 600Km away, at present a non stop drive from where I am to my home town is 6 hours which means it would take me a day to get home in the Audi E-Tron which would require a recharge, maybe I should get to the 450 km mark and then run the rest of the way ?
The interior though is very much like modern cars and the looks are still the same if not better than most interiors. The color is also coloured in a specific shade to keep the car cool which allows you to keep the aircon off or not over exert the aircon.
It has a 50/50 weight distribution that balances out the car, it has 2 motors and it has intelligence to swap between rear motor to front motor to control the wheels if it finds that the rear is unstable, this happens so quick that you don't even know that it has happened...so they say...
What are your thoughts on electric cars?
