honestly it's been so long that i've actually had my own transport that i've actually not really had that male/alpha dna where i get off on the enjoyment of owning transportation.
that's not to say that i've not had some great experiences in cars, from rallying in the peak district in minis in 4:1 ratio hills, having to stop half way to take off my air filter because my carbs can't get any air and my brakes are so incredibly hot and i'm in full scale panic as i'm descending the other side worried if my brakes are gonna work or not as i go down the snaking turns and corners of the other side -- wondering if my car will get through the water ford at the bottom or if i'll have to pop off my fibre glass front so not to damage it. Yep, good times.
Nah for me, it's all about electric, anything would do tbh.
https://twitter.com/zeroevuk is the people that i keep my eyes on at the moment, they take classic cars and electrify them, if you are reasonably rich enough this company with take that hairdresser mx5 that you love so much because it's fun to drive and jack it up for you.
what about a range rover defender? bad ass ride right, yep, they can do that as well. don't get me wrong i'd love a rivian or a tesla like the next person as it feels like the future when you are driving between supercharger to supercharger.
I think i'd like to have the new electric VW camper van, maybe a lot more MUTED thou, like in a dark black flat wrap, low profile, maybe some green camo on it, i'd have to change that white nasa space-x inside too, that's not gonna work for me -- that clinical hospital resident evil insides lab is not my idea of FUTURE.
But yeah anything with space that would allow me to roadtrip freely, i'd want something ideally in a perfect world with a split charger and a solar roof, i'd wanna drive max fifty miles a day, stay in places for sometimes up to 2/3 days and then keep going, charge offgrid, wait for the sunshine to do it's recharging work, then off we go again, see how reliable that battery tech is, learn to love a mobile office and home on wheels.
i'd never want anything to flashing or sports car like i don't think, i'd get bored of it, i'm not interested in going to fuel stations and eating bad foods and having to que to pay for something that goes in the atmospher and slowly kills us anymore, i spent my twenties doing that across the country while going to raves in fields.
i've always like the minis, the smart cars, smart, pocket cars to get around town quickly, vans and trucks for moving heavy loads but not to heavy that the whole family thinks that they can tell their friends on facebook that i can 'help them move house' capable!
I don't really 'dream' about cars and transportation like that. I'm a more practical person rather than IMAGE or EGO based decision maker when it comes to the car i drive. Maybe it's because i'm not intereste in flexing wealth, maybe i'd like to give a good super car a thrash around a track for thirty minutes but owning one, sounds time consuming.
I have zero desire to be the dude in the drive way buffing his wheels and having his windows down in winter driving through a town centre. Lot more enjoyable things in life to get involved in. .. you know what i mean?
