Long distance travel on small bikes to Sylhet

in blurtrides •  4 years ago

The attraction to travel and the love of motorcycles are the main reasons for the desire to travel long distances by bike. There was a lot of discussion with my friend Rousseau. But the main obstacle was our bike. Because my TVS Centra is 100cc and Rousseau's Freedom is 100cc. My bike has run 49,000+ km on it. Freedom is not fresh either. Although we have already completed the Mymensingh-Netrokona-Tangail tour a few days ago. Then he was working with some fear.

However, strong enthusiasm means fear or obstacle rate. Finally, the four of us started our journey on the way to Sylhet on June 19. The four of us go on two bikes to travel to Sylhet, to save cost and to make the journey more enjoyable. We are supposed to start very early in the morning. I couldn’t sleep the night before in excitement. So I go to the first place.

Then everyone comes one by one. Refueling and leaving at around 8 in the morning. With the Jatrabari flyover, the fatigue of waking up at night is completely gone after a short walk in the morning breeze. The sleeping city, the feeling of running through the middle of the building is different. There is a problem with Rousseau's Freedom in Demra. He changed the drive chain the day before.

Probably it was taking time to set the new chain, so the speed of the bike was not going to be more than 40-45. So early in the morning, no mechanic's shop was open. God, there is no other way but to leave in trust. That's how I went to Narsingdi. We are again bikers of many tolerant species. I had breakfast at a rural hotel in Narsingdi. Pulses, eggs, everything had the fresh smell of a village.
Many people are interested in us because of the chatter, laughter, bikes and our rider type of makeup and spend some time with them. After spending about half an hour there, we started our journey again. After a while, the problem of freedom is gone. Then I continued at 70-75. The road of Dhaka-Sylhet highway is quite good.

And there was not much traffic at that time. So we continued to relax quite comfortably. Stop where you like. Take pictures, have tea, have fun. We paused about 6 times throughout the journey. Because the riding position of our bike was not good, any particular part of the body was hurting. Moreover, it was a matter of resting the weak, old engine. In this way it takes about 4 pm to reach Sylhet.

Conversations with the people where we lived -

  • Where are you from?
  • From Dhaka.
  • Bringing a Honda?
  • Yes, with the Honda.
  • With this Honda? (Eyes rolling)
  • Yes, with this Honda. Canoe brother?
  • No, that's it.
Then he left with a look that seemed to indicate something of our crazy type. Think about it, nothing comes of it. That day I went out again in the evening and visited the shrines and looked around the city. On the way out it started to rain which was our companion for the next two days. (Remaining 2nd episode)
