Battery load testing

After buying a new motorcycle, I installed LED headlight bulbs, fog lights, double P90 horns etc. from the market. Now I want to know if my motorcycle battery can take the load of all these things without any problem? How do I know if I can use everything safely in the long run?

The brand has a value. The service that Asram Phillips's lights will provide, will never give the cheap Chinese Bangshal lights. In this case, there is nothing wrong with your motorcycle. Battery load testing is to run everything, to know if the battery is smiling while it is on. For this we will need a volt meter. You can do the work with a motorcycle at an electronics store next door.

Turn on the motorcycle. Turn on the headlights, parking lights, LED lights and everything else. Now measure the voltage of the battery.

Battery volt 12.80 = Battery cost and recharge are equal. That's good.

The voltage of the battery is less than 12.80 = the more the battery is recharged, the more it costs. It's bad. The motorcycle cannot take the load.

Battery volts above 12.80 = The battery is recharging more than it is consuming. That's a good sign. The motorcycle can load safely.

Side notes: 1) Do not cut motorcycle stock wiring. 2) Install something new in such a way that you can go back to the previous state at any time. 3) Give the pair in a way that will be strong waterproof, so nothing will happen in the long run. 4) Pull the stock wiring side by side without leaving it random.

Battery maintenance

Battery maintenance is not a necessity later. Now most lead acid batteries are in sealed condition. Those that do not have seals, see if the battery has equal water stains. If not, if it is reduced, just refill it with battery water. Recharge there while servicing the motorcycle. Battery stores recharge at high amperes, which is fine for bus truck cars with 35, 50, 60 ampere batteries. The battery of the motorcycle is only 3, 5, 9 amperes. Do not keep the battery terminal dry, there may be white blue sand corrosion. It eats away at the positive negative terminal in the long run, eats up the wire joint. Merrill cleaned the terminals well and applied petroleum jelly. There will be no more croissants.

Some black batteries are available in the market. UPS has such a battery inside. Do not put them on motorcycles. These are designed to run on deep cycle batteries or for a long time at a fixed cost. The batteries we use in motorcycles are made in a hurry and cost a lot. For example, a starter motor of 125 watts consumes a lot in two to four seconds. When the engine is started, it starts to recharge after a while. 80% of the charge of these batteries is always stored. Their main job is to be prepared to spend a lot of cca or cold crank empire or hut. The battery episode ends here.
