We have collected this news from the Gazette (July 12, 2017) published by the Government of Bangladesh. At the request of local motorcycle importers and assemblers, the government has allowed 185 cc motorcycles.
In Bangladesh, the Ministry of Industry issued an order on July 10 to increase the CC (cubic centimeter) of motorcycles. According to the order, the import of any motorcycle with a capacity of more than 165 cc and used for more than three years has been banned in Bangladesh.
According to the order, the ministry has taken this decision in the wake of requests from motorcycle assemblers and manufacturers in Bangladesh. They claimed that there was a demand for more cc bikes in the market, and to meet this demand they sought permission to import 185 cc motorcycles and spare parts.
