. If you have little experience riding bikes in urban areas or you are a new biker, don't even think about riding on the highway.

. A highway is an independent highway. But remember it’s not just independent for you. It is also an independent road for buses, trucks and cars.

. Do not sit in the back of a passenger who will be scared while riding a motorcycle. Because during some important times like overtaking they do scary things and put you in big danger.

. If you see a man in the middle of the road, hesitating you to cross the road, cross the road behind the man using the correct indicator lights, pass lights and your head signal. Backwards because people prefer to go first from the back rather than the front.

. It is important to note that eye contact with the person crossing the road. Understand the mind of the person who wants to cross the road and then act according to his movements.

. Never try to overtake a car when the speed on your speedometer is 100 kilometers per hour. With the exception of the Yamaha R15, all other motorcycles in Bangladesh find it difficult to accelerate in less time. Because the highways are always very busy. So keep a moderate speed play it will help you overtaking cars in any market or jam.

. Never ride your bike fast behind the car in front. Because if the car in front presses the brakes fast then you cannot control your bike. If you want to avoid collisions, keep a distance of at least 100 feet.

. Never drive along the middle of the front wheels. This is because the wheels avoid large holes to reduce the jolt of most cars. So if you look in the middle you can fall into potholes or broken roads. As a result, you may lose control of your speed.

. When overtaking a bus, truck or car you should keep some distance and look ahead. If there is ample opportunity to overtake the car, proceed forward using the horn, pass light. You don't have to think about what the driver of the car thought while overtaking you.

. Use the correct indicator and pass light at night. Big cars won’t see you until you make your presence known to them. If two cars do not allow you to overtake, you turn on the indicator light to your right and use the pass light twice. If the car doesn't give you a place to go, turn on the pass light as much as you can.

. Do not brake hard on any steel bridges and sand roads. You will find many steel bridges across the street. They get wet in winter, fog and rain water in rainy season. The steel bridge wheel does not grip well and you can slip due to hard braking.

. Always try to keep the fingers of the right hand on the brakes. Because you will not have time to act fast in unusual moments.

. If you run in groups, then ride the bikes one by one in a line. Try to run with two seconds left when crossing. This means do not ride two bikes side by side. Because you may need to go left to right.

. If you need to stand, please do not stand in the middle of the street. You stand and park at least some distance from the highway.

. A brightly colored shirt will help you attract the attention of other drivers on the road. This will increase your security. If you run at night, wear brightly colored clothing that reflects.

. Avoid highways in the rain at night if you can. Because a recent study found that about 36% of motorcycle accidents on highways in Bangladesh occur at night during the rainy season. Other cars pushed them or the bike slipped on the road. Decreased vision is also a cause of accidents.

. Never park your bike right behind a car on a sloping road. Because they could lose their control and fall a few feet behind. If you park the bike without leaving any space, you will be hit. It will also help you in long traffic jams.

These are told from my experience. I am not an expert but by following these I have avoided many accidents. So I think tips for riding a motorcycle on the highway will help you for a safe trip.
