Thinking of going to the mechanic to reduce the oil from the carburetor? Wrong decision. Or the mileage is still low after taking it to the mechanic? The answer is simple. The problem is not in the carburetor. Somewhere else.
The motorcycle is not giving the expected mileage
Today I am sharing some tips to get the expected mileage on a motorcycle.
1: Check if the wheel of the motorcycle is turning freely. Many times the wheels get jammed due to the brakes being too tight. Again, even if the bearing of the wheel breaks, the wheel becomes jammed. And if the wheel is jammed, the engine will have to carry more pressure at the same speed. As a result, the mileage will decrease.
If there is a wheel jam, you must solve it. Excessive tightening of the main nut of the wheel can also cause wheel jam. Be careful because extra tight nuts can break from the beginning at any time. The results will not be good.
2: The chain is too tight to cause wheel jam. At the same time, even if the chain is not cleaned regularly or lubricant is not given, there is some reduction in mileage. Keep the chain tight at the level specified in the manual.
Note: If there is extra tight chain, the sprocket will wear out very quickly and there is a possibility of tearing while moving.
3: Weak piston-ring is another reason for low mileage. If there is a problem, the engine oil moves to the piston chamber (combustion chamber) and reduces the combustion of gasoline. Result: Low mileage + low power.
4: I think valve clearance is the biggest reason for low mileage and power. (Mechanics usually call it a tape match.) Excess tight valves reduce engine noise, but have an effect on the timing chain. This increases the friction between the engines. Simply put, the engine simply stops turning. This results in additional fuel consumption. At the same time, the timing chain does not last long.
Similarly in case of high valve clearance early or late combustion is not desirable. Simply put, the more perfect the valve clearance, the better the performance and mileage of the motorcycle.
5: Carburetor. Let's come here this time. Yes, it is possible to reduce the increase in oil. But the less you give your hand here, the better. The carburetor and its adjustment screws are highly sensitive. Never tune the carburetor by an inexperienced mechanic. This increases the chances of it being ruined and then there is no way but to buy another at a higher price.
6: Use engine grade of company prescribed grade. This will also increase the durability of your motorcycle engine.
7: Mileage decreases if you use a wheel thicker than the size prescribed by the manufacturer.
6: Keep the tire pressure according to the manufacturer's advice and check once every two weeks
9: Use high quality spark plugs. Ngk irridium plug is available in the market now.
10: I completely forgot about the air filter. Be sure to clean the air filter at every servicing and replace it at regular intervals. A dirty air filter is one of the main causes of low mileage.
In addition to these factors, the mileage also decreases due to excessive increase in RPM, braking repeatedly and increasing speed again, not starting the signal, low petrol / octane usage etc. We will try to let you know if there are any more reasons in the future.
Take care of your motorcycle. He will also give you the highest performance.
Thanks.
