As I went to sleep, I was filled with mixed emotions consisting of excitement and anxiety. The next morning I would be starting the same journey that many children go through, which is learning how to ride a bike. As my alarm clock went off at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, my father greeted me by my bed and told me to get ready, as I would be starting to learn how to ride a bike
. At the age of five, the idea of riding a bike brought about exhilaration because all of my friends already knew how to ride bike. Also, having the ability to travel on wheels by myself astounded me because I would be able to explore places I have never been to before.
However, simultaneously, I was feeling apprehensive because the idea of falling to the ground and sustaining injuries during this process traumatized me.
It was a bright, warm summer day as I took a seat on my bike that I would be riding for the very first time. My father held me as I started pedaling down my narrow sidewalk.
