  1. Road racing
  2. Off-road racing
This type of racing can be in a closed or open circuit or in different trucks. Other races include hill racing, drug racing, land speed record racing, etc. So, today we will only talk a little bit about road racing. There are many classifications in this road racing. These are:

a) Supersport racing
b) Endurance racing
c) Sidecar racing
d) Traditional road racing
Today we will discuss and try to know about these different types of road racing. So, let's get started.

1. Motorcycle Grand Prix:

This is a major category in road racing. It is again divided into 3 classes. They are described below:

  1. Moto3:
This is the 2012 edition. In this racing 4 stroke bike of 250 cc is used. There is also a limit to the age of the racer. No one over the age of 25 can take part in this racing.

  2. Moto2:
Drona Sports first launched this racing in 2010 with a 600cc 4-stroke engine bike. Earlier this race was also done on bikes with 250 cc 2 stroke engine. In 2010, bikes with two type engines were used here, but since 2011 only 4 stroke engines have been used in this race.

  3. MotoGP:
This is currently the highest class of Grand Pyrix racing. This racing has been based on engine displacement and engine type for many years. Currently, since 2012, only 1000 cc four-stroke engine bikes are allowed in it.

2. Superbike Racing:

It is a type of racing where road racing is done inside modified bikes. In the case of these racing bikes, the engine displacement mast must be between 800 and 1200 cc for a twin engine and between 850 and 1000 cc for a four cylinder engine. The bikes have to be made to match the bikes of their normal road configuration. The front, side, look, rear of the bikes should all be the same as the editions that run on their normal road even though their engine may be modified.

3. Supersport Racing:

This is done with modified production bikes just like super bike racing. In this racing, the bike's engine must be 400-600 cc for a four-stroke engine, four-cylinder engine and 600-750 cc for a twin engine. And in terms of bike look, its rules are stricter than superbike racing. Engine tuning can be done here too but there are strict rules for that too.

4. Endurance Racing:

It is a type of racing that basically tests the autonomy of the various parts of the bike and the endurance of the rider. Different teams of multiple riders racing covering a huge area. Here, team members can also race by changing their bikes if they want. In endurance racing, it is often seen how fast one can cover a long distance within a certain period of time. How fast one can cover a certain distance also falls into this type of race.

5. Sidecar Racing:

Sidecar motorcycle racing is basically inside the sidecar motorcycles. A sidecar motorcycle is a type of bike that has a device attached to one side. Here a passenger with a rider also takes part in racing. He helps the rider to turn quickly and safely while cornering.

6. Traditional Roadracing:

This type of racing is basically done inside an area or circuit on an open public road. There have been many such races before, but very few of them still survive, most of them in Europe. There are two championships in this racing now, the two are International Road Racing Championship and Duke Road Racing Rankings. In this type of race the top placed rider was awarded. Currently this type of road racing is done in countries like Netherlands, Germany, Ukraine, Spain, Belgium etc.

In the next episode I hope to discuss in detail about off-road motorcycle racing. Until then, everyone will be fine. Thanks.
