Hello Everyone..
We all have weaknesses towards two wheelers. Due to the speed of these vehicles, eye-catching design, convenience of driving on any road and lower price than four-wheelers, they have been considered as the main means of transportation for both rich and poor. A design of a different design than the one we usually see on the front of the motorcycle is actually easily noticed. Royal Enfield is one such British-born motorcycle company.

History

In 1851, George Townsend, a merchant in the town of Reddich, England, set up a sewing machine needle factory and set up several machines for metal work. In 182, Townsend's son began making bicycle saddles and forks with the help of factory equipment. In this business he sees the face of profit. He had the equipment to make bicyclesSo in 18 he started making and selling bicycles called 'Townsend and Acosis'. Unfortunately there was fierce competition in the bicycle market at that time and the company suffered a loss in 1891 due to poor marketing plans.

The company was commissioned by Albert Eddy, a Birmingham sales manager, and Robert Walker Smith, an engineer, on the advice of Townsend's consulting bankers. Albert Eddie was an ambitious man. In 1892, he changed its name to Eddie Manufacturing Company Limited. Many fine machinery making machines are installed in this factory. In 1897, Eddie was awarded a contract to manufacture equipment for the Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield, Middlesex, from which the name Royal Enfield was born. In the same year, they bought a company called New Enfield Bicycle Company Limited and started manufacturing all kinds of bicycle equipment from here in 1896.

Gradually as motorized bicycles became popular in England, the Enfield Company also decided to make motorcycles. After two years of trying, Enfield launched their first 239cc motorbike in 1901.

Popularity

India is the largest market for Royal Enfield bikes. In 2015, they lost to Harley Davidson in the global cell and rose to the top. Royal Enfield has sold more bikes in India than Harley Davidson has sold in the world. They currently sell bikes in more than 50 countries around the world. There are several reasons why they are so popular.

Indians use these bikes the most. Indians consider this bike to be their own product as it has been sold since independence.

Royal Enfield users have a huge community. These communities work regionally as well as on social media. They help each other with any bike related problems.

Royal Enfield has a unique design. They have been using almost the same design since the 50's. This design sets the Royal Enfield apart from other bikes on the road.
