The number of workers at the BMW factory has skyrocketed - prisoners of war from German prisons and prisoners from Hitler's concentration camps have been deployed to the BMW factory. This success of BMW in the war market caught the eye of the Allies. During the war, the BMW factory in Munich was bombed round the clock.
