Executive Motors, the distributor of BMW in Bangladesh, has launched three new brand new BMW plug-in hybrid vehicle series. All three cars are environmentally friendly. The models of the cars are BMW 640 LE, BMW 530E and BMW X5 X Drive 40E.The BMW X5 X Drive 40E is an SUV. Each car can travel up to 20-45 kms without consuming any fuel.
BMW 640 LE sedan style car. It has a 1998 cc 4 cylinder petrol engine. With a power of 328 horsepower (HP) and 500 Newton meters (Nm), this powerful car can run at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The car needs only 5.3 seconds to reach 0-100 kmph.
The car can be fully charged in less than three hours from the BMW I Wall Box. It can take up to four hours to charge at home. The back of this car with e-drive is also eye-catching.
In 1982, BMW produced the first hybrid car. Although the German carmaker's hybrid journey began with just two cars, the demand and production of cars in the third generation has increased at a significant rate. BMW has named these third generation cars Eye Performance.
On November 3, Executive Motors officially launched the BMW plug-in hybrid car. Why bring this car to the country after two years? Dewan Muhammad Sajid Afzal, Director, Management, Executive Motors Ltd., said, "We have trained a team in Germany to gain experience in hybrid vehicles, their parts, maintenance and other aspects.We value car service more than car sales. So it took us a while to get the full service capability about hybrid cars. However, we are sure that our cars will not usually face any problems.
The handsome interior is as red on the outside as the BMW 640LE. There are multimedia displays with electric power steering, hi-fi sound system, separate AC control for passengers and drivers. With auto drive, the car has various features including manual drive gearbox, automatic headlights. The car has six airbags for safety.
The roads of Bangladesh are high and low friends. How safe can this car be on this road? Dewan Muhammad Sajid Afzal said that every vehicle in the BMW I Performance Series has artificial intelligence (AI) and air suspension. That is why even if there is low ground clearance, the car can easily cross high and low places instead of the required position. Luxury cars have all the modern conveniences.
Although the i-Performance series cars have been officially unveiled since November, Executive Motorsy has been selling them in the country since August. The cars are being given 5 years after sales service (warranty).
