Honda Ridgeline Midsize Truck

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E was my choice after many weeks of shopping around and test driving a number of the "other" trucks.

I occasionally tow a smaller boat, make some local trips to home improvement stores. I sleep in a seasonal climate so I do encounter a good share of snow.
The Ridgeline easily handles everything I've encountered thus far. I really like it! I even have the comfort and luxury of a high end SUV along side a "bonus" pickup bed. to not mention all the unique features this truck has, Two way locking tailgate, trunk in bed, convenience charging/power ports. Safety features all around! and far more...
I feel that the Ridgeline is underrated as a pickup and that i was hesitant to even buy one, But I quickly changed my mind and opinion after driving it myself. If you're trying to find a pickup, I suggest you a minimum of test drive a Ridgeline before making that final judgment. I do know that this review reads sort of a Honda commercial, but i'm being completely honest!

Love many things about the 2020 Ridgeline. The ride is superior, the seats extremely comfortable, and therefore the interior is extremely nice. the two way tail gate is extremely handy, and therefore the under bed trunk is genius! The bed is composite, and wide enough between wheel wells to haul 4 x 8 plywood and drywall flat. It comes with a hitch already installed too.

The downsides are few, but correcting them might be very easy and price effective, I find it curious that Honda left them in situ. The entertainment/navigation system is more lacking than the review illustrates. I exploit Apple Car Play, and therefore the Honda head is extremely slow to load, and bulky. Not having a volume knob is simply stupid, although controlling it through the wheel controls offsets that a touch. All of the cars driving parameters are setup through the entertainment system, in order that precludes using the other head unit but Honda's. I can not imagine what proportion more out of date it'll be in only a couple of short years, and the way much a replacement may cost from Honda, if it's even available. My biggest gripe is that the wholly inadequate front headlights. Although LED's are available on the highest trim line, the lights on the lower trim levels are wholly inadequate incandescents. They're unacceptably dim even for incandescents. I find that completely unacceptable during a 2020 model year vehicle.

How do i receive a top safety pick with such paltry braking performance? Forget the nanny driver aids, as they can't slow this car any quicker or shorter. I value shorter stopping distances on avoid a collision altogether. It took Honda decades to rectify both the civic and accord brakes, perhaps next decade the ridgeline will imitate. My other vehicles have had the old style font HID lights, or LED headlights for several years. Night driving within the Ridgeline is like driving in the dark with sunglasses on! That bad! If you haven't been driving on LED, or HID lights for years perhaps it won't be a problem for you. But if you've got , the dim driving is extremely fatiguing. Come on Honda, LED headlights are a really cheap safety upgrade!
