The Jaguar E-Type (known in the United States as the Jaguar XK-E) is a sports car from the English manufacturer Jaguar Cars, manufactured between 1961 and 1975. The model immediately produced a true worldwide sensation. Its lines were the brainchild of British designer Malcolm Sayer, who leveraged his extensive knowledge of aerodynamics, the product of his successful experiences in aeronautics, to create a clean and aerodynamically efficient silhouette.

The E-Type's powerplant was a powerful 3.8-liter inline six engine designed during World War II, featuring a double overhead camshaft, cast iron block and aluminum cylinder head, powered by three carburettors, it produced 265 HP at 5,500 rpm, allowing it to hit 150 mph (240 km / h) with acceleration from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km / h) in 6.9 seconds. Very interesting technical innovations include disc brakes on all four wheels, double springs on the rear axle and the triple wiper blade.
