In the early seventies, a song by singer Janice Japlin became very popular. However, the singer died three days after the song was recorded. The sentence above is the first line of that song and the name of the song was 'Mercedes Benz'. The song was written with a sneer at our intense fascination with materialism and our desire to have the best things in the world. However, despite the irony, the singer has finally acknowledged through this song that Mercedes Benz cars are one of the best in the world and another name for luxury and excellence. For many in the world today, the Mercedes Benz is a symbol of nobility, status and supreme success.
Mercedes Benz is a world-renowned German car manufacturer. They are famous for making all luxury cars, buses, trucks, lorries etc. They are headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Wrttemberg, Germany. In the beginning, however, Mercedes and Benz were two separate companies. Both were born in Germany and the two companies started their journey with the urge to do something new.
The two companies had the same goal since the start of the journey. From the beginning they started working with the evolving mechanical engine. Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler have been researching separately on how to improve the engines running in the market and how to sharpen them by combining them with the then tricycles. As a result of his research, Benz built the world's first gasoline-powered tricycle in 185, and Daimler built the world's first motorcycle with a two-wheeled wooden frame attached to the engine. Encouraged by his own success, Benz began working on four-wheelers, and since 189 Daimler has been concentrating on cars instead of motorcycles.
1900 is a milestone in the history of Mercedes Benz. This year Daimler brought a Mercedes from their company to the market. The naming is named after Mercedes Zellinik, the daughter of Emil Zellinik, a customer and partner of Benz's company. But until then. Then came World War I in Germany. As a result, most of the fuel was spent on war equipment, so there was not enough fuel to drive across the country. At the same time high taxes are imposed on the manufacture of automobiles. As a result, the production of automobiles in Germany is absolutely reduced. This has had an impact on car companies, including Benz and Daimler.
After the war, huge inflation and declining purchasing power of the people led to a sharp decline in car sales. As a result, it became difficult for the company to survive on its own. He was initially turned away. However, as the situation between the two companies gradually deteriorated, Daimler's company responded to Benz's proposal. As a result, the two companies merged in 1928 and the Daimler-Benz Company started its journey. A year later, for the first time, a car called Mercedes-Benz came on the market.
In 1931, Mercedes-Benz launched the Mercedes-Benz W-15. The huge popularity of the car encouraged the company to create improved versions of that model. In 1932, they released a new version and it gained popularity as usual. Two years later, a new car of their W-23 model came on the market. The car was built with the purpose of traveling with the whole family. The two-door car was available in two versions, a limousine and a sedan. The W-23 became wildly popular and received overwhelming response. As a result, by 1936, the Mercedes-Benz had gained widespread recognition outside of Germany, and a new W-136 model was unveiled.
The sixties were a revolutionary year for the car industry. From this decade onwards, various experiments with car design started. As a result, the cars of the previous model became obsolete. Mercedes-Benz, like other carmakers, had to deal with the problem. This is because the sales of many popular cars of their previous models also go down and as a result the production of those cars has to be stopped. To deal with the problem, the Mercedes-Benz era continues to create all sorts of great new designs. It was during this decade that they introduced the world to a luxury car of the W110 model, which was available in two versions, a four-door sedan and a station wagon. The car gained widespread popularity and led the company to a breakthrough in the sixties, a turning point in the car industry.
Currently, Mercedes Benz, one of the most popular and leading car manufacturers in the world, is constantly building different types of luxury cars, trucks, coaches, buses and other types of automobiles. They also have a remarkable Formula One team, which has won the trophy countless times since the fifties.
