That right there is the 1999 Mitsubishi Evolution 6 Tommi Makinen Edition. One of the rarest and most exciting Mitsubishi's ever.

They made this car to go up against the Subaru Impreza 22B STI. Now the STI was and is still is the more desirable and expensive one, but actually that's a good note on the Mitsubishi's side because it means that these are cheaper, more abundant but most importantly an underdog(to a person who doesn't know about cars).

It was launched in 2000 to commemorate Tommi Makinen's 4 consecutive World Rally Championship wins. You could the evo in a selection of colours but the most collectable one had the red paint and decals of Makinen's rally car, a unique front bumber, embossed recaro seats and distinctive NK white alloy wheels also helped set it apart.

Now let's talk about performance. It's got a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged engine under the bonnet kicking out 276 bhp and 275lb.ft of torque, going through a 5-speed manuel gearbox sending power to all 4 wheels, obviously since it's a rally car, and had a 0-100km/h time of 5 seconds and a top speed of 240km/h.

It's light compared to an Evo 10. We're talking around 1365 kilograms and couple that with a super light steering, you got yourself a proper racecar.

It truly is an amazing car. Now price wise you're looking at around $80000. Yeah it ain't cheap, but it's a bargain considering how collectable it is and how closely matched it is to the Subaru Impreza 22B STI. And also it literally costs half the price of the Impreza sooooo....

But hey, it's your decision, not mine.
