Looks like you are already doing well here. It took me until Alabasta Arc to get really intéressés in One Piece. I stopped watching few years ago because it was hard for me to find suffisant time. I will finalement start binge watching again. Waiting for episodes isn't a fun.

You may know from my Hive, but I just recently finished Alabasta. Still a long ways off, but I am enjoying the show so far.
It's good to hear. Things get so much better as times goes on. What is most incredible is how much thought and pre-planning is given to everything. Even plotlines from hundreds of episodes/chapters ago get visited.
Remember this random scene? It could be something really massive and you would have no idea for hundreds of episodes to come. the plotline isn't fully resolved yet.
If you don't mind spoilers; is the pirate who attacked Drum Island (Chopper's Home) which Ace is hunting down which ends up being the main villain and his character introduced so slowly and gradually, it's a complete masterpiece.
Few other Theories
