Bashundhara City Shopping Mall is one of the largest shopping complexes in Bangladesh. This modern western-style shopping mall was established on 2004 and since then it has become one of the most popular places for shopping and entertainment. It is located at Panthapath near the center of Dhaka. To go there first go to the “SAARC Fountain” circle at Hotel Sonargaon turning, then turn west of the fountain and on the north side of the street is the complex. This mammoth shopping complex is a 19 storied high building covering an area of 191200 sq. ft. comprising of a 8 storied podium and a 19 storied tower. The mall has space for 2,325 retail stores where top Bangladeshi brands resides with vast range of products. It also has cafeterias and a large gymnasium, a multiplex cinema, a top-floor food court, an ice skating rink, a theme park and the biggest gaming zone in Bangladesh. On the podium part level 1-4 is dedicated to fashion products like ready made garments, men, women and children’s clothing, saree and cosmetic products. On level 5 and 6 you will find electrical and electronic products, mobile and IT products, computers and musical instrument shops. The whole level 7 is for leather and footwear products. Level 8 is where the cine complex, food court and indoor theme park are situated. On the tower part there are office spaces, Fitness center, gaming zone and roof top restaurant are located. The fully air-conditioned shopping mall with rooftop gardens is considered a modern symbol of the emerging Dhaka.

Jamuna Future Park

Jamuna Future Park is an architectural marvel and aesthetically beautiful shopping mall in Dhaka. It is the largest shopping mall in the country. The complex is spread across 33 acres of land in Kuril, Baridhara, situated on the Pragati Sharani, neighboring Gulshan, Banani, Uttara and Bashundhara. It is relatively close to Shahjalal International Airport, offices of multinational companies, major embassies and other offices. This centrally air-conditioned shopping complex has seven floors, equipped with its own power plant and WiFi internet. The lower basement and middle basement floor are reserved for car parking and a portion for a supermarket and a hypermarket. Level 1 is the base floor for all atria, facilities for live entertainment, musical and fashion shows. From the ground floor to the fifth floor, there are several categories of outlets, non-branded shops, banks, online booths and food courts. The fifth floor has space for a children’s theme park, a gymnasium and a health club, two separate swimming pools for men and women, exhibition halls, banquet halls, international standard movie theater with seven individual halls, 22-lane bowling alley with karaoke facilities, and a musical and entertainment floor. Jamuna Future Park is also going to have Dhaka’s second ice skating rink. Here you will find international brands like KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Krispy Kreme, Boost Juice, Lotto, Levi’s, Hush Puppies, Bata, Clarks, Raymond, Uniqlo, M.A.C, Manyavar, Miniso, The Body Shop, Splash etc. Local brands like Aarong, Yellow, Ecstasy etc. are also present.
