Nvidia chief scientist Billy Daly has created a model of an affordable and easily accessible open-source ventilator. It will be possible to treat Covid-19 patients in the ongoing coronavirus epidemic. News Engadget.

He made the ventilator with a solenoid valve and a microcontroller. In just a few weeks he was able to make it. And this ventilator can be made for only a few hundred dollars, said Daly.

In a video, Daly said, "Our main goal is to make ventilators as easy as possible that can be produced quickly and cost-effectively." At the same time Kovid-19 will be able to help patients.

The ventilator will be able to accurately determine the flow and speed of air. It can be paired in a few minutes. The ventilator will be connected to a common screen in a portable pelican case.

Daly said it cost him about 400 to make the sample. However, if it is produced in large numbers, it can be made for 300. And using open-source and 3D printed devices, the cost can be reduced to 100.
