All you know that it's covid-19 situation all around us. But still we need to do some purchase and shopping for meeting up our daily necessities. Electronics items price has increased dramatically because the import has reduced. Most of you may know that Bangladesh is dependent on China in terms of Electronics items. But the demand of electronic items is huge especially mobile phone, laptop, other gadgets. With the technological advancement we are experiencing the scarcity of technological products. The internet connection has reached to the remote villages. And people are trying to adopt with the technology. And that's why you cannot leave a day without the technological products like mobile phone television etc. Following this kind of demand, we had some requirement of electronics item like laptop and printer for my office. After about 8 months I went to market with some of my college to purchase some electronics items. I want to share the memory today.
My office is about 70 kilometers away from the Chittagong City. For or larger volume purchase we need to go to Chittagong city. On the early morning of the day we started our journey to reach Chittagong city with our office car. Two of colleagues joined there. Where to show started the journey so totally 4 persons.
YUNUSCO is one of the largest Market in Chittagong for computer and electronics items. We have chosen this market first priority basis for our purchase. We went to several shops for collecting the price quotations. Basically, we had to purchase two laptop and two printers for office maintenance. It was a long checking because we had a limited budget for that. And we have experienced that most of the electronics items price are high compared with the previous price. The reason I have explained earlier that is the covid-19 and for these the import is not at that level as previous.
After a lot of checking, lot of discussion and A lot of bargaining we were able to choose two laptop which is at our budget. Both of the laptops were core i3 processor based. The price is below 40,000 Bangladeshi takas.
Then we moved to other shops for purchasing printer. Our first priority is duplicates based printer because it's much more hassle-free and this is the technology at hour hand at reasonable price. It's about 2000-3000 taka higher than the single-sided printers. We are checked several brands like brothers HP and so on. Out of a four of us 2 of them was technologically sound and they helped us to choose the best one at reasonable price. Finally, we was able to select two.
It was about 3-4 hours shopping. The time was very high because we have faced trouble with price. We had idea about price from the website but when we go to the market, we have experienced a bit higher price than the website price. Website price is not updated according to the scarcity of the product in the market. But fortunately, we have got our desired items at very much reasonable price compared with the situation which was very much urgent at our office that's why we want to market in this pandemic situation.
Shopping in this time is not good at all but sometimes in emergency we need to go for shopping. And it was an urgent situation and I enjoyed a lot with friends basically they are my colleagues. As we are almost of similar age, we are also friend. So, shopping with them is not a boring task and finally we did our shopping very nicely.
