Hacia mucho que no seguía mi contenido habitual sobre reseñas de cine, la cual en un principio era mi nicho principal junto al de los videojuegos, pero viendo que en diciembre realicé algunas las cuales no alcanzaron a muchas personas, decidí darme un tiempo de descanso, pero la espera termino y justo ahora que recién vi esta película que desde que salió me causo mucha intriga, pero que nunca he tenido la oportunidad de ver, así que comencemos con esta gran review
La la Land Es una película del género musical particularmente basada en la era dorada del mismo, escrita y dirigida por Damien Chazelle fantástico director apasionado por la música, y creador también de lo que es para mí es su más grande éxito Whiplash. Para esta película contaría con las actuaciones estelares de Emma Stone y Ryan Gosling, la cual nos narraría la historia de Mia una camarera que trabaja en un local cerca de una de las instalaciones de Warner Bros; Y De Sebastián un pianista muy talentoso fanático acérrimo del Jazz. Ambos tienen sueños y ambiciones, Mia quiere ser una actriz consagrada de Hollywood y Sebastian formar su propio club de Jazz y convertirlo en el mejor de Los Angeles. Pero para ambos la vida les dará un giro de 180 Grados al conocerse y así comenzar su gran romance.
It had been a long time since I had followed my usual content on movie reviews, which at first was my main niche next to video games, but seeing that in December I made some which did not reach many people, I decided to give myself a break, but the wait is over and just now I saw this movie that since it came out caused me a lot of intrigue, but I've never had the opportunity to see, so let's start with this great review
La la Land is a film of the musical genre particularly based on the golden age of the same, written and directed by Damien Chazelle fantastic director passionate about music, and also creator of what is for me is his greatest success Whiplash. For this film I would count on the stellar performances of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, which would tell us the story of Mia a waitress who works in a venue near one of the Warner Bros. facilities; and De Sebastian a very talented pianist who is a diehard jazz fan. Both have dreams and ambitions, Mia wants to be an established Hollywood actress and Sebastian wants to form his own jazz club and make it the best in Los Angeles. But for both of them life will take a 180-degree turn when they meet and their great romance begins.

Antes de comenzar quisiera resaltar que el genero musical no es para nada mi favorito, pero La La Land despertó en mi esa cierta curiosidad ya que en su momento fue muy comentada, además que en el Oscar en donde participo obtuvo 11 nominaciones de las cuales gano 6 de ellas, y que sin duda paso una de las situaciones más curiosas de la historia de la entrega, cuando al final de la ceremonia habían ganado la mejor película del año por una equivocación que al final se la termino llevando Moonligth. Así que mi pregunta fue que tiene de especial este film, intentare explicarlo en base a mi opinión y dicho esta advertencia comencemos.
Before starting I would like to emphasize that the musical genre is not at all my favorite, but La La Land awoke in me that certain curiosity since at the time it was very much commented, besides that in the Oscar where I participate it obtained 11 nominations of which I win 6 of them, and that without a doubt one of the most curious situations of the history of the awarding happened, when at the end of the ceremony they had won the best movie of the year by a mistake that in the end was taken by Moonligth. So my question was what is so special about this film, I will try to explain it based on my opinion and having said this warning let's start.
Esta película es una carta de amor a todo el cine de antaño, a la era mas dorada del genero y que sin duda marco una gran época en la historia del cine, La la Land recrea todo esto a la perfección durante la primera hora de película, en donde mas se acentúa los bailes, la música y en donde mas destaca el genero en la historia. Leí como curiosidad que La La Land tenia un significado detrás, algunos describen la frase como una sensación de euforia y alegría, en donde lo importante es ignorar todos los problemas y ser felices; Otros hablan de que esta expresión se refiere a Los Angeles lugar en donde fue filmada esta película, y que hablan de la ciudad como un lugar en donde se cumplen todos los sueños que quieras alcanzar y un lugar idílico para vivir, todos estos sentimientos se trasmiten durante toda esta grandísima obra.
This film is a love letter to all the cinema of yesteryear, to the most golden era of the genre and that without a doubt marked a great era in the history of cinema. La la Land recreates all this to perfection during the first hour of the film, where the dances, the music and where the genre stands out the most in history. I read as a curiosity that La La Land had a meaning behind it, some describe the phrase as a feeling of euphoria and joy, where the important thing is to ignore all the problems and be happy; Others talk about this expression referring to Los Angeles, the place where this movie was filmed, and that they talk about the city as a place where all the dreams you want to achieve are fulfilled and an idyllic place to live, all these feelings are transmitted during this great work.
Mas que una película considero a La La Land como un homenaje al cine, ya que, en mi opinión, mas que darle una historia a nuestros personajes en donde viéramos la relación formada desde cero con sus matices y mejor desarrollada quizás a mi gusto hubiera estado mejor, pero la intención del director era plasmar esta conexión que sentían Mia Y Sebastian a través del baile y la coreografía muy como se hacía en el cine clásico, pero que a mi gusto nunca se logró, y considero este el peor factor de la película.
More than a movie, I consider La La Land as a tribute to cinema, since, in my opinion, more than giving a story to our characters where we saw the relationship formed from scratch with its nuances and better developed perhaps to my taste it would have been better, but the intention of the director was to capture this connection that Mia and Sebastian felt through dance and choreography very much like it was done in classic cinema, but that to my taste was never achieved, and I consider this the worst factor of the movie.
Pero que sin duda en el apartado técnico es una obra maestra, el tema de los colores, el diseño de vestuario, la producción, la cinematografía, como por ejemplo, cada escena entre Mia y Sebastian nos trasladaban automáticamente a los 50s, gracias a la forma de vestir de ambos, el escenario que los rodeaba, la banda sonora, en fin fue una experiencia muy gratificante de ver, una de mis escenas favoritas y que quisiera destacar es el pequeño musical Dancing in the Stars ,el nivel de producción fue demasiado bueno y reconozco que a pesar de que los musicales no son de mi agrado, siento que este encajo muy bien en la película, en donde la música y el baile hablaron por si solo y nos permitieron al espectador observar lo mágico de la ciudad y lo bonito que es que alguien te lleve a las estrellas.
But that without a doubt in the technical section is a masterpiece, the theme of the colors, the costume design, the production, the cinematography, as for example, each scene between Mia and Sebastian automatically took us back to the 50s, thanks to the way they both dressed, the stage that surrounded them, the soundtrack, in short it was a very gratifying experience to watch, One of my favorite scenes and that I would like to highlight is the small musical Dancing in the Stars ,the level of production was too good and I recognize that even though the musicals are not to my liking, I feel that it fit very well in the film, where the music and dance spoke for themselves and allowed the viewer to observe how magical the city is and how nice it is to be taken to the stars.
