THE "DOS" & "DON'TS" OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

A. THE "DOS" OF THE HOLY SPIRIT & THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY GHOST:

= The Imperative for informed Awareness of the Holy Spirit (Lk 24:49, Act 1:8, Act 2:1-4, 14-21, Act 19:1-7, 1 Cor 12:1, Gal 3:13-14).
= The Holy Spirit to be Acknowledged, Recognized & Worshipped (Jn 4:23-24, Rev 19:10).
= The Gospel Mandate to introduce the Holy Ghost & Gifts to the potential Believer & the Believer in Christ (Jn 7:37-38, Jn 14:26, Act 2:38-39, Act 3:19-23, Act 8:14-17, Act 19:1-7, 1 Cor 12:1).
= The Believer to Earnestly Desire/Thirst to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Jn 7:37-38 & Rev 22:17).
= The Believers in Christ are to Pray to Receive/Filled/Baptized in the Holy Ghost (Lk 11:13, Act 24:49, Act 1:8&14, Act 9:10-12).
= The Believer can be Prayed for/Ministered to, thereby be imparted/to receive/to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Act 4:31, Act 8:14-17, Act 9:10-16 (17-18), Act 10:44-46, Act 19:1-7).
= We are expected as the Believers in Christ to be Filled/Baptized in the Holy Ghost through Faith in the Promise of God. With "the initial evidence" of Speaking in New/Unknown/Unlearned Tongues/Languages (Ps 81:10, Joel 2:28-32, Isa 28:11-12, Lk 24:49, Jn 20:22, Act 1:5&8, Act 2:1-4, 14-24, 32-33, 37-39).
= We are to Talk/Speak, Pray, Sing, Minister, Prophesy/with Interpretation in unknown Tongues/unlearned Languages (Rom 8:26-27, 1 Cor 14:2-5, 12-20, (21-22), Eph 6:18, Php 1:19, Jude 20).
= Pray to be Filled/Re-Filled, & To Be Led by the Holy Spirit (Rom 8:11&14).
= Always demostrate and exemplify the Awareness of the Overflow of God's Love (Rom 5:1-5, Rom 8:15-16, 2 Tim 1:6-7, 1 Jn 4:18).
= In our Humility & Submission to God in Christ, let us with confidence demonstrate the Boldness of Faith in Speaking the Word & Acting on God's Promises. Not by our might, but by the Holy Spirit (Zech 4:6, Rom 8:15-16, Rom 10:8-10, 2 Cor 4:13, Col 3:16-17, 2 Tim 1:6-7, Heb 4:12-13, 16, Heb 10:35-36, James 4:5-7, 1 Pet 5:6-11).
= Acknowledging the Holy Spirit and the Gifts. Stirring-up the Gifts of God's grace in the Holy Ghost. (Prov 17:8, Prov 18:16, Prov 22:29, Eccl 10:10, Rom 11:29, 2 Tim 1:6-7).
= Recognizing, Cherishing & Sharing the Goodnews. Preparing our Vessels for the Utility of the New Wine (Ps 68:11, 18-19, Isa 65:8-9, Mk 2:22, Luke 5:37-38, Jn 2:11, 2 Tim 2:19-21).
= Earnestly Desiring the Gifts of the Spirit (Matt 5:6, Jn 4:13-14, Jn 7:37-39, 1 Cor 12:1-3, 7-11, 31, 1 Cor 14:1&12, Rev 22:7).
= Making Use of the Gifts of the Holy Ghost for the Edification of the Church (Rom 12:1-3-8, 1 Cor 14:12, Eph 4:11-13, 1 Pet 4:10-11).
= The Imperative of Working in Unity in the Church (Ps 122, Ps 133, Isa 65:8, Rom 12:3).
= The Holy Spirit relishes in the Believer's Attitude of Gratitude, Appreciation & Thankfulness [Celebration & Rejoicing] in Fellowship (Col 3:16, 1 Thes 5:16-20).
= The Holy Spirit enjoys showing-up in Believers' Individual & Corporate Fellowship & Prayers (Act 1:14, Act 2:1-4, 41-47, Act 4:31-33, Act 13:1-4, Rom 8:26-27, Eph 6:18, Jude 20).
= Giving Glory to God for the privilege to be graciously endowed with the Gift(s) of the Holy Spirit, as well as being used to manifest and demonstrate the Gifts. (Jn 2:11, Jn 11:4, Act 3:6-11).
