At the online auction Gooding & Company will put up for sale a rare 1955 Ferrari 250 Europa GT. For a unique sports car with a mileage of 33,500 kilometers, they plan to bail out about $ 2.5 million.

The Berlinetta 250 Europa GT is the first Ferrari to receive the Gran Turismo nameplate. The design of the two-door sports car was invented by Giovanni Battista Farina. In total, the Italian firm built just over 40 road cars, which were first equipped with a three-liter Colombo V12 with a capacity of 220 horsepower. Together with the unit, a four-stage "mechanics" was installed. The sports coupe accelerated to "hundreds" in seven seconds. The maximum speed of the model was 230 kilometers per hour.

The sports car for sale received a rare combination of matte black body and brown leather interior. In addition, at the request of the customer, "Ferrari" was equipped with an individual configuration of the dashboard. In the mid-60s of the last century, the owner of a unique Ferrari put the sports car in the garage and never used it again. Due to the long downtime, the car body is covered with rust in places, and the interior requires partial restoration.

This Ferrari 250 Europa GT has never been restored and will be auctioned for the first time in its history in May 2021. For the rarest two-door with a run of 33,500 kilometers, the seller plans to gain about $ 2.5 million.

In mid-January, a unique 1954 Ferrari 375 America coupe with panoramic rear glazing was put up for sale at RM Sotheby's auction. For one of the two sports cars built in a similar body, it was planned to gain $ 3.4 million.
