MATTERS OF THE HEART
The heart goes through a whole lot;
From love to hate, envy and jealousy;
Happiness and joy to sorrow and sadness,
Causing the heart to maneuver emotions.
The heart, the seat of emotions
Is easily manipulated by happenstances
That happen to the body harbouring the heart,
Hence, mainly controlled by circumstances.
Only a regenerated heart is controlled
By the Spirit of God dwelling in it.
It is fed daily by the living Word of God
That sustains it and keeps it in check.
And when sorrows and sadness
Come knocking at that kind of heart,
It displaces the with the fullness of Joy
Only Christ can provide, enjoying the bliss.
Love overwhelms the regenerated heart
And rids it off hate, envy and jealousy.
It turns the bearer a compassionate being
Who loves and empathize fellow humans.
Christ alone can give that kinda heart
That in the challenging times and seasons,
It's not perturbed or perplexed, knowing that
The seasons precedes miracles and testimonies.
