Happy Friday Blurtians!

One of our tradition here in the Philippines is holding a yearly feast celebration. This practice has started many years ago. We believed that with the help of the Saints we were able to succeed therefore the feast celebration is our way to give thanks to the Saints and to Almighty God.

Last Friday, the Dumagueteño's were celebrating the feast of St. Catherine of Alexandria. The City has filled with many entertainment activities but sadly I haven't seen any of them since I was working.

As I was on my way home after the long tiring day at the office, I decided to light a candle and offer a prayer. Well, I was already expecting that people were flocked in the prayer area since it's already a practice.

After offering a prayer, I went inside to the church compound hoping that I can still catch the 5:30 mass and fortunately, I was able to attend the mass though I was a little bit late.

After attending mass, I headed home since my landlady invited me the night before to have dinner at her house. There were only few visitors who joined with us at dinner time and most of them were my landlady's family. She didn't invite her friends since she's still afraid of covid virus, she's already old.

That was another successful feast celebration in Dumaguete City. How about in your place do you also have feast cepebration honoring the Patron Saints?

That's it for today Blurtians. See you on my next blog.
