Sulfur Vent- One of the Famous Tourist Spots in Valencia, Negros Oriental

Valencia is one of the municipality located in Negros Oriental that has abundant of stunning spots like beautiful mountains; enchanting waterfalls; and wide rivers. These are the reasons why there are many tourists may it be local or foreign visited in the place. Have you been there?

As for myself, I can no longer count the times I visited the tourist spots here. I visited any of the tourist spots more often way back the time when I was not working yet. Sometimes I went here alone or with a friend.

Last Saturday, we don't have an itinerary to follow. We just enjoyed riding motorbike until we reached to Sulfur Vent. Actually, we often passed here when we visit to the different stunning spots in Valencia but we never cared to stop and have photos of ourselves. But last Saturday was different, we went there and enjoyed taking photos.

In our mother tongue, we called it "Mag-aso" because of the smoke. The mountain releases smoke as there is a volcano in Valencia. The smoke has bad smell, it is like a rotten egg but the smell is just tolerable. Due to its toxicity, it is not advisable to stay longer in the place. It is dangerous to inhale too much of it.

This is one of the most-visited tourist spots in Valencia. The reason why there are many people behind me, have you noticed?

I wanted to also climb that concrete fence but since they were not done yet I was just contented to have photo in the other side.

This is the Sulfur Vent. It is situated beside the main road. Have you seen the smoke?

Finally the other tourists were gone and it was our turn to have photo on top of the concrete fence.

I thought it was just easy to go down same as what I had experienced when I went up but it was difficult for me.

My crazy friend took photo while I was descending, I don't know where to properly put my hands so I can easily descend.

By the way, this is the scenery meters away before you reached the Sulfur Vent. That stunning mountains always left me an awe.

We didn't stay there too long because of the smell. After we took photos we then went to the other tourist spots.
