Picking Carampola Fruit

Have you tried eating carambola fruit or star fruit? How was the taste? Do you like it?

I used to love sour taste when I was a kid. I remember I loved eating it when I paired it with salt. I felt like I was on cloud 9 while eating those pair.

When we were just a kid, my bestfriend's family owned a small portion of land in a mountainuous area of my mother's hometown where I was I raised. We usually spent our weekend there. And I remember there was a tree of carambola fruit. When it has fruits we were the first one who will pick and take it home. That experienced was almost 2 decades have passed but it was still fresh in my mind.

Few weeks ago, I never have thought that I will be able to see carambola fruit again. When we went to Casaroro Falls a friend suggested that we will pick carambola fruit after visiting casaroro falls. I got thrilled of the suggestion. The owner of it is her friend so after our quick adventure to the waterfall we immediately headed to where it is situated.

The tree has abundant of fruits and maybe 50% of it was already ripe. I felt I was like a kid again while picking the fruit.

My friend enjoyed it too. We picked a lot of carambola fruits. As we got to my friend's house we ate it and gosh it was truly sour. I am not fond of sour as I get older because of my hyperacidity. I usually avoid eating foods with sour taste although there was a time that it is inevitable especially when I craved for it. I only ate a small slice. I was not able to finish 1 fruit as my tolerance of sour taste is very low nowadays.

Though I didn't eat that much but the activity of picking carambola fruit was enjoyable, I was happy as I was able to pick it again by myself.
