Philippines offers many various dishes that can satisfy ones craving. And by many, it includes even the weirdest and exotic ones.

Have you tasted chicken intestines? How about chicken liver? “Isaw” or chicken intestines are not a scrap in our country. In the Philippines, it is best sold if it’s grilled with yummy sauce paired with hanging rice locally known as “puso”. Sometimes, it is also best served as “pulutan” or alcohol partner. But, safety first! You should know if what you’re about to eat is clean. Mostly, chicken intestines are boiled first before it is cooked.

It could serve as a viand or an appetizer depending on your choice. Here, showing you how it looks like if its uncooked.

Can you spot the “isaw”? Yes that’s it. Along with those “isaw” are pork, chicken wings, and hotdog. Those were about to be grilled on a grilling pad for about 5-10 minutes. And voila! All are ready to serve.

But my favorite of them all - the chicken liver. 😋
