Hola amigos, estuve un tiempo fuera del blog debido a mi clases en la universidad, sin embargo estoy a punto de culminar los examines y estoy de vuelta aquí.
En esta oportunidad en biología, pudimos observar algunos hongos, ya que estamos viendo el tema de "Reinos", aquí entra el reino fungí y la verdad es que quede impresionado con todo lo que aprendí acerca de los hongos, su comportamiento su importancia ecológica, y la cantidad de hongos descubiertos hasta ahora.
Hello friends, I was a while away from the blog due to my classes at the university, however I am about to finish the exams and I am back here.
This time in biology, we were able to observe some fungi, since we are looking at the topic of "Kingdoms", here enters the fungi kingdom and the truth is that I was impressed with everything I learned about fungi, their behavior, their ecological importance, and the amount of fungi discovered so far.
En un recorrido por las instalaciones de la universidad, en la parte del vivero pudimos observar algunos hongos, muy interesantes la verdad del genero Basidiomicetos según mi profesor, ese ejemplar creció en este lugar ya que es fresco y húmedo, ideal para el crecimiento de este pequeño amigo.
Se considera que el 25% de los hongos conocidos pertenecer a la división de los Basidiomicetos, el champiñón (Agaricus brunnensces) es parte de este grupo y es un hongo comestible.
In a tour of the university facilities, in the nursery part we could observe some fungi, very interesting the truth of the genus Basidiomycetes according to my professor, that specimen grew in this place because it is cool and humid, ideal for the growth of this little friend.
It is considered that 25% of known fungi belong to the division of Basidiomycetes, the mushroom (Agaricus brunnensces) is part of this group and is an edible mushroom.
El lugar donde lo encontramos asemeja un bosque, con una humedad considerable para estar en la ciudad, el lugar es realmente fresco y aquí hay ejemplares de arboles, arbustos y plantas que utilizamos en nuestras practicas de campo.
El pequeño hongo lo encontramos en la base de un árbol, la verdad fueron varios ejemplares, en su parte inferior se encontraban algunos ácaros y hormigas, conviviendo en este ecosistema.
The place where we found it resembles a forest, with a considerable humidity to be in the city, the place is really fresh and here there are specimens of trees, shrubs and plants that we use in our field practices.
We found the small mushroom at the base of a tree, actually there were several specimens, in its lower part there were some mites and ants, coexisting in this ecosystem.
Por cierto una pequeña acotación de algo que aprendí, es que los hongos no tienen sistema vascular, pero están constituidos por hifas, vegetativos, reproductivos y austoriales, estas 3 cumplen funciones de crecimiento y desarrollo, reproducción y descomposición.
Los hongos deben estar adheridos a un sustrato, ya que son saprofitos o parásitos, por lo cual los vemos en la corteza de los arboles muy a menudo. Donde hay vida, hay hongos es un dicho de mis profesores.
By the way, a small note of something I learned, is that fungi do not have a vascular system, but are constituted by hyphae, vegetative, reproductive and austoriales, these 3 fulfill functions of growth and development, reproduction and decomposition.
Fungi must be attached to a substrate, as they are saprophytes or parasites, which is why we see them on the bark of trees very often. Where there is life, there are fungi is a saying of my teachers.
Me pareció también interesante que en una de mis clases vi un tipo de hongo que encontré en un rio, lo fotografié y es exactamente idéntico, pero no se que genero pertenece y su nombre científico.
Sin embargo me llamo la atención ya que solo lo he visto en este sitio, al parecer necesita mucha mas humedad y clima templado para crecer, pues solo predominaban este tipo.
I also found it interesting that in one of my classes I saw a type of fungus that I found in a river, I photographed it and it is exactly identical, but I do not know what genus it belongs to and its scientific name.
However, it caught my attention because I have only seen it in this place, apparently it needs much more humidity and temperate climate to grow, because only this type predominated.
Es probable que la próxima semana vea otros ejemplares en una clase practica sobre los hongos, también esperamos ver cortes en el microscopio.
Creo que me esperan algunas sorpresas en esta clase y estoy muy entusiasmado por ello.
Por ejemplo tengo entendido que veremos levaduras, que también forman parte de los hongos y de algunas de ella se obtienen medicinas.
Next week I will probably see other specimens in a hands-on class on fungi, and we are also looking forward to seeing slides under the microscope.
I think there are some surprises in store for me in this class and I am very excited about it.
For example I understand that we will see yeasts, which are also part of the fungi and some of them are used to make medicines.
