At present my hobby is to find a job lol, sounds weird but that's how things stand at present.
It might sound funny to many but it's not funny. But not for people like me that lost their job due to pandemic. I was doing well as an employee until first few weeks this year but then our bank decided to lay off 20% workforce.
I was one of them that lost their jobs but did I lose hope? No, I worked on improvement of my village roads and also did some other jobs and now looking for a job.
However, today I went to my village and spent some time there. My village is about 30 km from my town, so I took a bus from my nearest bus stand and took the first bus that was due to depart in 10 minutes.
I got down at the entrance of my village, and the first thing I saw was a field full of mustard crops. You can see these yellow mustard flowers. Mustard is considered a cash crop because it sells instantly.
Incidentally, cash crops are necessary for local farmers because it gives them instant cash, as the farmers don’t have to depend on our government for its payment.
Next, I passed through sugarcane fields, which is one of the major crops in this part of our country besides wheat, maze, and potatoes.
I also went past some potato fields. I know we have had good rain this season, so we need very little water this winter.
However, the radish is almost always ready, but it needs a little water every two to three days.
The potato farmers are happy as they are expecting a bumper crop, since there is less fog or smog in this part of the area. Because fog destroys the potato crop, we believe that potato farming will produce better results this year.
Farmers have already sold wheat and almost all sugarcane and waiting to sow the next.
Although everything is not at its scheduled time because of the farmers’ movement. But we hope to bring everything back to normal since the farmers’ movement has been withdrawn for the time being.
I stayed in the village for about three hours and then came back.
