It was a friend's birthday on wednesday, and she thought I forget that she even has to send me her birthday photo shoot pictures yesterday and told me it will be her birthday today, guess she did a broadcast message to everyone on her contact list.

Well, I am always the type of friend that like hyping my friends or people when they are dressed😊and I don't waste time hyping her.

I said even people that want to do a wedding or want to get engaged didn't dress the way she do on her birthday shoot.

Her dress is a typical Nigerian dress, Yoruba tribe precisely made from handwoven cloth and it’s called “Aso Ofi” . The term “Aso” means “cloth” in English and “ofi” means “loom” in English. We the Yoruba in Nigeria like to correlate an object to its source.

Aso-Oke originated in Southwest Nigeria in the 15th Century by the Yorubas, coinciding with the introduction of Islam with its requirement of head coverings into the region. It began in towns like Iseyin and Oyo and soon spread to neighbouring tribes like Igalas, Idomas, Ebiras, and Tivs with their Aso-Oke colours.

The birthday celebrant is a make-up artist and she does her makeup herself, that's omaglam for you. Well, omaglam is her makeup brand name.

The picture I use in my writing is sent to by a friend, so it's mine.
