Green Thursday

I found these plants on my recent trip to Richmond. I honestly have no idea what they are, but Im intrigued.

The above picture shows the new leaves, before opening, and below here is how they look once they fully developed and open.

They are covered in spikes. Quite vibrant geen. And they were by the water. Many of them.

I find them trully fascinating.
They are quite tall, I did sneak in underneath for some of the photos.
If I was a snake, this would probably be my favourite place to dwell.
