Here is my Photography for the #Blurtphoto #colorchallenge
Wednesday Yellow…
This is the handle on my little axe. I’m slowly chipping away at a large Maple stump in the garden …
I had planted too many trees too close together and this one was shading out my Apple trees, competing for water and sunlight.
Apples or syrup… Apples or syrup…. Hmmm … Some pruning was needed.
Which one would you choose ?
My kids were not happy to see this tree cut down since it provided lots of maple Syrup each spring … but we have a few more Maples still producing lots of sugar.
The Tree cutter wanted an additional $500 to grind out the stump.. so I decided I would let it slowly decay then chip away at it over the years.
I will make a small tunnel below and have a bonfire later this week. Probably on the weekend… unless it snows again.
Yes they are calling for more snow.
Stay tuned for the Sugar Maple stump burning video.
Making some Maple syrup …. Liquid gold.

This is cheaper than a therapist. Go out in the back and start hacking away.
Serenity now
After a very very long Canadian winter in Quarantine at the Snowed Inn, it’s been great to finally get outside these last few days….
My feelings exactly. Hello spring haha
Great exercise too. My biceps 💪 are huge. There are a few other trees I need to remove so if this burning the stump method works I will keep going. I planted way too many trees …way too close together.
How wonderful to live in direct contact with Mother Earth! Sorry you had to cut down that tree, it must have been beautiful. That pot looks great, ideal for doing time consuming cooking.
