Trip to the Lighthouse

in blurtphoto •  3 years ago  (edited)

On New Years day we went out to look at a lighthouse as my friend doesn't drive so she likes to make me chauffeur her around so she can take photo's (her new hobby).
I had my new camera too so thought I'd have a go.
I broke one of the rules of good photography apparently by not making sure the horizon was dead straight. I'm more into looking at colours and content myself and using my artistic eye instead of the ugly grid lines in the viewer, but each to their own.
We got into a heated debate later because she said the act of getting the horizon straight was coz she can see the curvature of the earth if it's on a slant.
Oh I did laugh but she was dead serious. No idea where to start to explain that away.
So here's the lighthouse anyway. It's called Stroove lighthouse and is at the northeasterly tip of Innishowen (Ireland)

Very moody huh....
There are more funny buildings along the rocks -

As the sun was going down it was shining lovely peachy tones with the turquoise of the sea so we went down onto the beach to try and capture that too. I had to boost the colour to get the pic to look more like it did through my eyes.

Plus there was a big ship in the distance too. There were also some mad peeps jumping in the sea and it was baltic. I hear it's very good for you but no thanx.

unadulterated with wonky horizon which proves the earth is round, so I'm told hahahaha

Beautiful photography… I love seeing this different locations all over the world here on Blurt. Would love to visit Ireland some day. Many of my ancestors are from Ireland … like 30% according to my FamilyTreeDNA Origins map.

Those dna tests are a crock they were just stealing ur dna but everyone has a bit of Irish in em. I'll be putting up my glamping yurt for all the visitors after this nonsense is all over with (please god)

Ha ha… yeah, i wonder what they plan on doing with my DNA. Maybe they will clone me and make millions of me and the world will be a much better place.

I doubt it, your code will be entered into their database and maybe they'll tweek some code and make it the next big 'variant'. You should copyright yourself and claim compo

You think they are going to use my DNA information to create a new virus ? Why would they use mine ? I guess if they want to target all the English, French, German, Irish, and Algonquin peoples .

they don't make a virus in this reality, only in computer code (in silico). They probably wouldn't use your code, bats and other animals are less likely to sue.

They have entered my DNA numbers into a database and I have found many second and 3rd cousins here in Canada, USA, Italy, Germany and France. I am even related to Chief Tecumseh and Pontiac. Got my Metis / Indigenous Status here in Canada (which will help pay for my kids University costs)

Did you check your family tree to see if they are really related? Jeez I woudnt want any more cousins myself the ones I have are bad enough lol

Yes. I found them all on my Tree…. Going way back

and they found ur rellies with JUST your dna? or was it thru one of those family tree businesses? Coz I heard the dna bit was a ruse to collect 'data'. A bit like the pcr testing is doing now.

Is there a condition of dysgeometria? (to go with dyscalculia)
Hard to know whether to laugh out insanely - or just go insane.
Never mind... enjoyed the pics :-)

I don't know but if there is she has both....
